Chicagobusiness.com: "Gov. Rod Blagojevich said Tuesday he opposes Mayor Richard Daley's proposal to build a casino near downtown Chicago, and he promised to veto any legislation that calls for one.


'I oppose it because when it comes to the state budget, there are no quick fixes,' Blagojevich said a news conference in Springfield. 'It's not my vision for the kind of state Illinois should be.' "

-- Emphasis mine. Things are going to be getting really interesting.... No quick fixes like selling the Thompson center or anything like that because we used all the quick fixes last year....
