Chicago Tribune | Key Ryan aide pleads guilty: "political adviser and top aide for a decade, pleaded guilty Tuesday to mail fraud involving a bid-rigging scheme and agreed to cooperate in the government's ongoing corruption investigations."

Prosecutors asked U.S. District Judge Blanche M. Manning to postpone Fawell's sentencing until Ryan's planned trial on racketeering conspiracy charges, expected to begin by March.

-- Perhaps it is time to send George Homer Ryan a copy of OZ on DVD.
