Ex-alderman faces federal bribery charge: "A former Aurora alderman and a real estate developer have been charged in federal court with trying to bribe a public official to get preferential treatment for a development on Aurora's far East Side.
The U.S. Attorney's Office of the Northern District of Illinois has filed complaints against John N. 'Jim' Meisch, 70, an alderman for 20 years who now lives in Davis, Ill., and Gerald E. Anderson, 70, a developer who lives in Brentwood, Tenn., and Montgomery."

-- I have met 'Jim' a few times. It is really strange to read about this sort of stuff when it involves people you know.. Read the whole story, it would appear to handle the situation intelegently.

The city of Aurora has had a lot of sour apples in it's history but Jim Meisch is not one of them. Haven't you people heard of age discimination? Why don't you police up the crooked gambleing, the prostitutes and child molesters you have running around loose.
