Billy Goat's, that's what is economic development in Aurora now...

Well the city is all pumped up about a restaurant row that is going to be anchored by...

Wait For it....

A Billy Goat Tavern that's right.

$1.25 million in TIFF funds over three years, $450K is contingent on the Billy Goat moving in. Because we all know how many high paying good jobs a tavern that sells hamburgers produces.

Also after the whole hotel thing, has anyone considered the impact on other places that sell hamburgers and beer in the city? Is this going to impact bars and Burger Kings in Aurora, Naperville or even North Aurora? Who is going to look out for those people? Who is going to look out for those large corporations?

Having been to 4 different locations of the Goat I can say, it's a nice place to eat but not someplace I would hop in my car to go to.

Can't we do better?

Don't forget there could be negative impact on White Castle, too!

restaurants in downtown aurora do not have a very good track record of making money, or even staying in business for more than a year. parking is non existent, and the customer base lacking.
the city is foolish to expend tiff funds on this folly. they probably just want the builds torn down so they can sell them to shodeen
