The Alliance For America's Future

Was nice enough to send me three cards (all addressed to the exact same name and address with the same numeric code above the name) today about voting absentee.

Good use of resources there guys.

Actually the same thing sort of with me, my wife didn't get one either and she is as hard R as I am.

My wife received 2 yesterday and I none. Web sites look like fronts.

I also received 3 identical cards and my husband none.

I looked them up, they are a republican 527 group attempting, apparently, to disrupt the Democrat vote in many states: Florida, Nevada, NJ. If you request an absentee ballot, you cannot vote at the polls on Tuesday, at least in NJ.

I received one from them today, THREE days before the election. Who are these people? What a waste of resources. FYI,I voted absentee in early October.

If they want to disrupt democrats, why did they send this piece of garbage to me, a long-time rock-solid Conservative Republican?
Let me make this clear: There is no online form of voting that is valid in my state: New Hampshire. As a former Town Moderator in NH, I was required to learn and understand our election laws. As far as I can determine, this little mailer is a piece of garbage that is seemingly designed to trick people into thinking they could cast legal ballots online, and thus not go to the polls at all.

I received 2 of these cards yesterday and 3 today (in suffolk county NY) as a registered Republican. My husband (also a registered R)- none. I voted by absentee for the primary (he did not). Perhaps this is why?
My question is.... what good is an absentee ballot request on November 1st and 2nd????

This seems to be a scam to keep people from legitimately voting (in person) by giving them false sense of security that their absentee ballot would actually count

I have been a Republican for years and yet I also received 3 post cards to the same address on the subject of an absentee ballot request. Further, I received them way past the due date for requesting an absentee ballot in time for the Nov 2, 2010 election. My daughter also a Republican also received one. My husband and my son did not and yet they are Republicans as well. I have never voted absentee. My children voted absentee years ago when they were away at university. The Republicans are not behind this but I suspect liberals or democrats are behind the scam.

I live in Derry, NH and rec'd a note to be sure to get my absentee ballot. The note came 1 day after the election. Who is wasting money this way. Do you think the U S P O is deliberately holding back political mail?

These people are nothing but a cowardly attack organization designed to erode the middle class.

I am a Republican, and my party support is being used to pay for these LIES. Not anymore. As the wife of a retired teacher, I know the truth about this particular scam. My husband always paid into his own retirement, and still does. You may ask how he pays in now? He is a substitute teacher, paid less than minimum wage per hour, because he knows classes must be covered, students must be taught. From these measly little checks from the local school district they not only take out taxes, but MORE RETIREMENT BENEFITS which do not affect his retirement now, nor in the future. He can only see that money returned to him (without interest, or matching contributions by the school district) when he promises not to teach anymore for the privilege of being paid minimum wage. By the way my husband was working on his doctoral disseration when he retired; so he is a professional with a great deal of expereince.
WHY DOES HE DO IT? He loved teaching kids. Working for any public entity can be the pits without collective bargaining. How do I know, I lost my job when a new public official was elected and he wanted to hire his sister-in-law to replace me. The first thing he did was give himself and his sister-in-law a raise. NO COLLOECTIVE BARGAINING THERE. It's not the employees that need to be reined in, it's the elected officials. They should have to use our health care, our retirement system, and our collective bargaining systems, and no be able to VOTE THEMSELVES raises, high retirement payouts, and high cost health insurance. WE NEED THESE POLITICIANS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR DECISIONS, AND WE CAN DO IT BY HOLDING THE REINS TO OUR OWN WALLETS AS TO THEIR VOTING THEMSELVES THE BENEFITS WE HAVE TO FIGHT FOR.
